In Hugungumai, Ghari Local Government Area of Kano State, education ranks high on the list of community priorities. Through the Community Development Agreement (CDA), Eso Terra has translated that priority into concrete progress with the successful construction of a fully equipped two-classroom block, complete with administrative spaces and sanitation facilities. The project was delivered in partnership with the Ghari Local Government Education Authority and local leadership, ensuring that every step aligned with community needs.

The structure features two spacious, well-ventilated classrooms, a headmaster’s office, a staff office, and three modern toilet cubicles. Handwashing stations, durable classroom furniture, and secure windows were installed to foster a safe and engaging learning environment. From the first mapping and setting out of the site, through foundation work, blockwork, roofing, plastering, and painting, the project maintained strict quality and safety standards. Local contractors and community representatives participated actively, reinforcing transparency and ownership.

Inside, the classrooms are bright and orderly, finished with teaching boards, solid desks, and clear sightlines to support attentive learning. Outdoors, clean elevations, strong security grills, and a welcoming mural create a sense of pride for the pupils and staff who will use the building daily.

The new block is an investment in future potential. By providing safe spaces for learning, the project strengthens the educational foundation of Hugungumai’s children while supporting the broader goals of local development. With the building now officially handed over to the school and the LGEA, the education authorities assume responsibility for cleaning, security, and routine upkeep.
