Eso Terra Investment Limited has begun a drilling programme at its Kogo Tin Prospect in Ningi Local Government Area, Bauchi State. Kogo is a historically significant tin and tungsten zone containing extensive quartz greisen lode systems. The area was originally explored in the mid twentieth century by private operators and the Nigerian Mining Corporation.
The site hosts mapped quartz greisen structures with strong cassiterite (tin) potential, along with indicators of copper, tungsten and other base metals. Earlier work conducted by the Nigerian Mining Corporation recorded encouraging tin grades across both the Main and Major lodes. However, much of the legacy data requires updated verification.

Eso Terra is now carrying out a systematic drilling campaign to confirm historical mineralisation, verify continuity of high-grade zones and establish a modern geological model for the project. The programme includes twinning selected historical boreholes and generating new core samples to validate past records and unlock further exploration targets.

With strong geological indicators already identified, Kogo is positioned to contribute to Nigeria’s return to the global tin and critical minerals sector. Field activities are supported by local stakeholders and carried out in accordance with environmental and community standards.
